Dominican University - Remote Desktop

VPN - Virtual Private Network.

If you will always be on the secure Dominican Network (duowned, duwireless), you don't need to use a VPN. Go to "How to Access Remote Desktop below.

If you are planning to work from home, you will need to access Dominican through a Virtual Private Network.

The software that allows you to do this in called Global Protect. You need to download the software directly from Dominican.

Before continuing, start the Microsoft Authenticator. Follow the instructions in this document () to install and configure Global Protect. The portal name to use is remoteaccess.dom.edu. Have your Microsoft Authenicator in hand before you attempt to login to Gloobal Protect. Global Protect does not give you much time to respond to its authentication request.

If you were denied access to the contents, try this:

Go to the Browser where you see the access denied message, open another tab in that browser and login to your Dominican email. You should be able to find a link to your email from Quick Links in the dom.edu homepage. If not, try the following link - (https://outlook.office365.com/owa/?realm=dom.edu). Once you are logged into email try pasting the original link () into a new browser tab.
