This video shows you how to install the Analysis tool pack into Excel on an Apple MAC.

First start Excel

Then create a blank document.  There must be a document open in order for Excel to display the menu items that we will need to install the Data Analysis package.

Then click Data on the Excel menu to see if the Analysis Tool Pack is already installed.

If it is not installed, click Tools on the Apple menu and then select Add Ins

Select the Analysis Tool Pack add in.

Click OK

Then click Data and then Data Analysis to verify that the Analysis Tool Pack has been installed.

That’s all you have to do.  Your copy of Excel is now ready to do some interesting data analysis.

PC Script

This video shows you how to install the Analysis tool pack into Excel on a Windows machine.

First start Excel.

If for any reason you don't see a green menu on the left side of the Excel Window, click File on the upper Excel Menu.  This will cause a green menu to appear on the left side of the screen.

Then Select Option near the bottom left of the Excel Window

When the Excel Options Window appears, select Add Ins on the menu at the left.

At the bottom of the Excel Options Window you will see Manage Excel Add-Ins.  Click Go.. on the right side of this item.

If the Add-in "Analysis ToolPak is not already checked, check it now and click OK

Click "Data" on the Excel Menu.  Look to the far right on the ribbon and verify that Data Analysis is installed.  Click on Data Analysis to verify that the Add In is working.

Click Cancel to close the Data Analysis dialog box.

You are now ready to use the Excel Data Analysis Add In
