GBIS747 Final Exam Study Guide

The final exam is worth 48 points and consists of two parts. Part A contains Multiple Choice, True/False, Matching and other questions that can be automatically graded by Blackboard. Part B contains four to six

essay questions. Each part of the exam will be worth 24 points.

    1. Review prior quizzes. Many of the questions for Part A will be drawn from prior quizzes or will be similar to those questions.
    2. Review lecture slides.
      1. In case you have downloaded all slides in prior weeks, slides for Weeks 1 through 7 can be found in this winzip archive.
      2. Sort by date modified to order the Powerpoint files by week.
  2. To prepare for Part B:
    1. Review lecture slides.
    2. Be prepared to answer any of the following questions or questions very similar to the following questions.
      1. Explain what is different about maintaining a system that uses Web Services from maintaining a system that has been built using traditional programming.
      2. Why is disaster recovery important for Enterprise Software systems?
      3. List the major steps involved in planning and installing SAP Software (given a description of the business). Most of this information is in Weeks 6 and 7.
      4. Also, given the same business description from Question 3 above, determine if SAP Business Suite, SAP All-in-one, SAP business-by-design, or SAP business-one is the best option for the described business.
      5. Explain why it is almost always necessary to change business processes when installing Enterprise Software.
      6. What are the major functions in an SAP component I will select (SAP HRM, SAP CRM, SAP ERP Operations). There is too much information to memorize to answer this. Therefore, the way to prepare for this is to have a copy of the relevant slides available or to prepare a list ahead of time. This will save you time during the exam.
